So tonight my mom and I went to see the movie Gimme The Loot about two black teenagers living in the Bronx at The Chicago International Film Festival and afterwards there was a Q&A with the writer/director.

This was a questions asked by a white guy in the audience:

“When I see movies like this I am so intrigued by these urban settings. I like to travel and try to visit these when I can so I was just wondering where did you film this?”

My mom’s reaction was hilarious. She basically made the face that Mrs.Huxtable is making, rolled her eyes and shook her head and said “People in the hood dream of being able to vacation where you live and you go to visit the hood for fun? White people!”
